Peace River Kayak Tours
Our goal is to experience old Florida as it has been for hundreds of years, not to view the backyard pool-cages of local residents. The lower Peace River and Charlotte Harbor estuary is a great place to paddle. The area has brackish water which allows for a large variety of plants and wildlife and because it floods in the summer, there is no development to ruin the natural wilderness.
Our guided kayak tours are about two and a half hours long and consist of a paddle along the Charlotte Harbor Estuary system of the lower Peace River before it enters the Charlotte Harbor and finally empties into the Gulf. We take you to areas of the river that you probably would not go by yourself.
We try to "customize" our guided tours around the individual group taking the trip. You set the pace and the conversation, or lack thereof. Some history and area highlights are touched on along with a description of the beautiful habitat and wildlife that adorn the majestic Peace River's edge.
Voted the most scenic river in Florida for seven years running, the Peace River is diverse and rustic in it's natural state. In just 5 minutes you are in wilderness. No houses or other distractions. Just you and nature, unchanged in many ways for hundreds of years, this river is a beautiful piece of old Florida.
