Kayak Don Pedro State Park

The barrier island of Don Pedro is only accessable by boat. This means the island is usually much quieter than other areas on the coast and has, of course, less development.

Our trip begins at 9 AM (time can be modified for groups of 4 or more) at the mainland area of the Don Pedro State Park (located on Placida Rd, Englewood). We then paddle to Don Pedro Island through Red Mangrove lined waterways, exploring as we go.

After about an hour and a half or so, we meander over to the docks of the park, where you can explore the island and/or enjoy a break with a light lunch on the island's beach. Bring whatever you wish to eat and drink but keep in mind, we provide a bottled water or two and a snack, which is usually a granola bar and some fruit and the like in a small personal cooler.

After the lunch break, we'll paddle back to the mainland park area, arriving around 12:30 or 1:00.
